Along the way, the reader spies African elephants, cheetahs, chimpanzees, crocodiles, dik-diks, giraffes, pink (greater) flamingos, leopards, lions, rhinoceroses, wildebeests, and zebras. At journey’s end, the hippo makes a splash entrance for some serious reader fun!
Full of rhyme and vibrant fabric applique collages, the Hidden Hippo provides a magnificent visual and auditory feast that readers of all ages can admire and devour!
As is the case with many Barefoot Books, the story ends with follow-on information about the book’s subject, in this case, the animals of the African plains.
